Give us this Date/ Day….or not.

Unpopular Opinion: There is nothing special about any of these days: Christmas eve, Christmas Day (Jesus Christ did not kuku ask us to be celebrating his birthday and there is NO evidence that he was born exactly on the 25th) or Boxing Day, New Year et al.

2020 will be a regular like any other year. If you want to make it special, that is 100% up to you. If you spend all your savings celebrating Christmas and New Year, darling, you will be broke and hungry in the new year. Kindly remember that January has 74 days. What makes a day, week or year special then?

What makes any day/ week/ month/ year special is up to you and the choices you make about your life. If you want to make 2020 truly special , outline the plans you want to and start TODAY. Dont wait for 2020, else that is the beginning of failure. Start saying “YES” to your hopes and dreams, start praying, reading, planning, connecting. Actual steps that lead to your dreams else, everything is just an emotional and sentimental drama that replays every year at your expense.

I remember someone back in 2018 who kept bragging that she was going to be more financially prudent in 2019. She was finally going to save and invest more, stick to her budget more and to ensure this plan, she embarked on a shopping spree to get all the shopping out of her system. Such foolishness! I said, “if you are truly serious about this; We are in November. Start today. Dont wait for 2019”. She didnt listen. Oh well.

2019 came and her spending habits went from bad to worse. The magic/power is not in the day/ date. It is in your person and your actions.
